Basketball Game Preview: Hernando Christian Academy Lions vs. Lakeside Christian Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Hernando Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Lakeside Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Hernando Christian Academy and four for Lakeside Christian.

On Thursday, Hernando Christian Academy took a blow against Hernando, falling 48-16.

Meanwhile, Lakeside Christian ended up a good deal behind Bayshore Christian on Monday and lost 34-18.

Despite the loss, Lakeside Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marli Chase posted nine points and three steals. Chase is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.

Hernando Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lakeside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Hernando Christian Academy came up short against Lakeside Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 34-28. Can Hernando Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
