While Meadowbrook's win against Crooksville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colts had just enough and edged out the Ceramics 3-2 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Colts as they're now sitting on six straight.

The team relied heavily on Addy Wiggins, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Meadowbrook's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Crooksville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Meadowbrook is set to face off against their familiar foe Tri-Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colts 2.9, the Scotties 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Crooksville will square off against rival Morgan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
