Basketball Recap: Roanoke Catholic Takes a Loss

Roanoke Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Rockbridge County Wildcats 60-26.

Rockbridge County can attribute much of their success to Abby Bouchard, who posted six points and four steals.

Roanoke Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Rockbridge County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roanoke Catholic will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Virginia Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Rockbridge County, they will be playing at home against Harrisonburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockbridge County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
