Southeastern HomeSchool waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots. Surprisingly, this marked the Cardinals' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Southeastern HomeSchool who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 15-11.

Emily Batts paced Southeastern HomeSchool's offense, picking up ten kills. Batts got some help from Alana Surigao and her 17 assists. Hannah Whaley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Southeastern HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.
