Baseball Game Preview: John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers vs. Ramsay Rams

For the second straight game, John Carroll Catholic will face off against Ramsay. The Cavaliers will welcome the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

John Carroll Catholic will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Wednesday, then bounced right back against Ramsay on Tuesday. The Cavaliers blew past the Rams 16-6. Considering the Cavaliers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Ramsay's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Mosley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The Rams are 2-1 when Mosley posts two or more runs, but 6-12 otherwise.

John Carroll Catholic pushed their record up to 12-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Ramsay, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
