It was a good run, but Palatine unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Saint Viator Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Palatine's defeat dropped their record down to 25-5. As for Saint Viator, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

Palatine has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Libertyville on the 18th. As for Saint Viator, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lake Zurich on the 18th.
