Volleyball Recap: Franklin Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against American Heritage

Franklin Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the American Heritage Patriots on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin Academy lost, don't look at Sofia Hernandez. Despite the final result, she had 42 digs. Another player making a difference was Nathalia Crespo, who had 27 digs.

American Heritage has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Franklin Academy has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cooper City on the 14th. As for American Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Highlands Christian on the 18th.
