Baseball Recap: Madison Christian Comes Up Short

Madison Christian lost against Granville Christian Academy on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against Granville Christian Academy, falling 9-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabe Lawrence spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Allen Flickinger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Madison Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Granville Christian Academy, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
