Recap: Easley Green Wave vs. Wren Hurricanes

The Easley Green Wave pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 87-65 defeat to Wren might stick with them for a while. Easley has struggled against Wren recently, as their match on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Easley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Crews. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The matchup was Crews' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Drey Jackson, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals.

Even though they lost, Easley were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wren only pulled down 19.

Wren got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Campbell out in front who scored 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhett Warga, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Easley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wren, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Easley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Daniel at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Daniel focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. As for Wren, they will be playing in front of their home fans against T.L. Hanna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. T.L. Hanna presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wren in South Carolina (T.L. Hanna is ranked 11th, while Wren is ranked 69th).
