Baseball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

Southern fell victim to Marietta and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Tornadoes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Marietta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Coming up, Southern will venture away from home to challenge Gallia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marietta, they will welcome Parkersburg South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
