Recap: Jefferson Bulldogs vs. Pottsboro Cardinals
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Jefferson Bulldogs can now relate to. They fell to Pottsboro 34-28. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Jefferson was outscored by Pottsboro in the second.
Despite the loss, Jefferson still got an impressive performance from Kamran Williams, who rushed for 197 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Williams is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.
Major Mcbride was his usual excellent self, rushing for 271 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Pottsboro, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pottsboro will head out on the road to face off against Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grandview will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
