Basketball Recap: Silliman Institute Victorious

Silliman Institute hadn't done well against Bowling Green recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Silliman Institute Wildcats walked away with a 53-46 win over the Bowling Green Buccaneers. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 41-34 victory the Buccaneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Silliman Institute's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-5. As for Bowling Green, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Silliman Institute Wildcats take on the Brookhaven Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bowling Green, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Parklane Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
