Football Recap: Kern Valley Falls to West in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Kern Valley had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Vikings. Despite 222 more yards than the Vikings, the Broncs couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

When it comes to explaining why Kern Valley lost, don't look at Carson Parks. Despite the final result, he rushed for 316 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. Jackson Price was in the mix as well, providing the Broncs with two touchdowns.

Solomon Harris went supernova For West., rushing for 173 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 55 yards and two TDs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kern Valley will host Immanuel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West, they will welcome Delano at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
