Football Recap: Ludlowe Starts Season with Win Against Notre Dame

Ludlowe gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They managed a 38-34 victory over the Notre Dame Green Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ludlowe was led to victory by Ryan Love and Liam Bond. Love threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, while Bond gained 171 total yards and two touchdowns. Bond was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 63 yards.

Notre Dame lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joe Capasso, who rushed for 89 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 136 yards and one touchdown. Luke Miklos was another key back, rushing for 129 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Ludlowe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 56-6 win against Westhill on the 19th. As for Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 33-14 loss against Amity Regional on the 19th.
