Softball Recap: Niagara Falls Comes Up Short

Niagara Falls dropped their record down to 10-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 12-0 to the Lancaster Legends. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 5-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Lancaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.

For Lancaster's part, the team relied heavily on Isabella Dimino, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Kuzara, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

While Niagara Falls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
