Baseball Game Preview: Apache Warriors vs. Clinton Red Tornadoes

The Apache Warriors will head out to square off against the Clinton Red Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apache has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 11.

Apache fell victim to Mountain View-Gotebo and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Clinton suffered their closest loss since April 18, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Fairview by a score of 6-4.

Easten Powell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Clinton's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Apache, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Apache might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Clinton when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
