Softball Recap: South Webster Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

South Webster's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Belpre Golden Eagles. The victory was some much needed relief for the Jeeps as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jaiden White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addi Claxon, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Lauren Kaltenbach was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

South Webster's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Belpre, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, South Webster will take on Dawson-Bryant in a tournament on the 21st. Belpre does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
