Football Recap: Lee Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Lee and Rye Cove on Friday hardly resembled the 14-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Generals had to suffer through a 47-13 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The Generals' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Lee still got an impressive performance from Scotty Napier, who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rye Cove, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, Lee will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Generals will be up against the Scarlet Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rye Cove, they are taking a road trip to face off against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 8.2 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
