Basketball Recap: Vestaburg Comes Up Short

Vestaburg was the 57-37 winner over Coleman when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vestaburg Wolverines took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coleman Comets on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coleman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Glazier, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Glazier's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared DeVrieze, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards.

Vestaburg has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. Coleman pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Vestaburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-40 victory against Breckenridge on the 11th. As for Coleman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-41 win against Ashley on the 11th.
