After a string of 13 wins, Whitehouse's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hallsville Bobcats by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Whitehouse's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 13-1 and their overall record down to 22-6. As for Hallsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
