Softball Recap: Cornell/Lake Holcombe Knights vs. Cadott Hornets
Cornell/Lake Holcombe couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 17-0 walloping at the hands of the Cadott Hornets on Friday.
For Cadott's part, Karlee Davis was a standout: she went 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, five RBI, and a triple. Kennedy Nerdrum was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-3.
Cornell/Lake Holcombe will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Regis at 5:00 p.m. on April 29th. As for Cadott, they will head out on the road to challenge Gilman at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
