Volleyball Recap: Southern Alamance Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Southern Alamance came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Red Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-6.

Cedar Ridge can attribute much of their success to Sydnee Tapper, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Tapper has posted over her last six games. Avery Owens also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Southern Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cedar Ridge, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Southern Alamance has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Eastern Alamance on the 28th. As for Cedar Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Seaforth on the 28th.
