Apollo had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Lyon County Lyons with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Apollo's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Lyon County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apollo will head out to face off against McLean County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lyon County, they will venture away from home to challenge Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Braves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.46 runs per game on average), something the Lyons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
