Nelson Island takes loss despite strong performances from Bethany Lincoln and Kelsey Angaiak

Recap: Nelson Island Islanders vs. Chaputnguak Shaman
After flying high against the Nuniwarmiut Herders last Thursday, the Nelson Island Islanders came back down to earth. Nelson Island fell 33-20 to the Shaman on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nelson Island has scored all season.
Nelson Island's loss came despite strong showings from Kelsey Angaiak and Bethany Lincoln. Angaiak scored nine points, while Lincoln scored nine points.
Nelson Island now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Chaputnguak, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nelson Island will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Jaegers at 3:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Chaputnguak, they will take on the Herders at 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
