Baseball Recap: Hays Indians vs. South Cougars        
        
		
            
 After a string of three wins, Hays's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell just short of the South Cougars by a score of  8-6. Hays was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as South apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2016.
 For South's part,  Drew Emerson looked comfortable as he  pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Brady Howard, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Kaden Budke, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Hays' defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for South,  the  victory  got them back to even at 13-13.
 As of now, neither Hays nor South have any future games scheduled.
