Baseball Recap: Bolivar-Richburg Gets the Win

The Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles on Thursday.

Maddox Davison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Bolivar-Richburg's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is undefeated (and 7-8 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Bolivar-Richburg let Landon Barkley and Connor Margeson run wild. Barkley went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI, while Margeson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most hits Margeson has posted since back in April.

Bolivar-Richburg's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Clyde-Savannah, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

As of now, neither Bolivar-Richburg nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
