Baseball Recap: Rancho Buena Vista Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Rancho Buena Vista and Vista, and Vista kept the tradition alive. The Longhorns fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Rancho Buena Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Repchinuck, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Rancho Buena Vista's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

While Rancho Buena Vista had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
