Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Indian Trail

The Franklin Sabers will head out to face off against the Indian Trail Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Franklin's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matches.

Franklin's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Greendale with a sharp 5-0 win. Franklin's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

They hit Greendale with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Xaiden Xiong (2), Mihajlo Marinkovic, Colby Kamlay, and Dusan Novakovich.

Meanwhile, Indian Trail fell victim to Milwaukee Reagan and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Huskies.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five matchups. As for Indian Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Franklin took their win against Indian Trail in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 6-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
