Recap: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Woodson Warriors
The Roosevelt Roughriders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Woodson 56-29 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Roosevelt has managed all season.
Roosevelt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamar'sha Wilson out in front who scored 18 points along with seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least 25% of Roosevelt's points. Another player making a difference was Simmons Taniesha, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
The win got Roosevelt back to even at 2-2. As for Woodson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will take on Bell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodson, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Banneker at 5:30 p.m.
