Football Game Preview: Magee Trojans vs. McLaurin Tigers + Official Tickets

Magee has gone a perfect 6-0 against McLaurin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Magee has four straight victories, McLaurin has 12 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Magee proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 26) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Jefferson Davis County 36-35.

Meanwhile, McLaurin fell victim to Raleigh and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Lions 57-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Lions are ranked 34th).

McLaurin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Magee, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Magee against McLaurin in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, as the squad secured a 50-6 victory. In that contest, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 36-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
