Volleyball Game Preview: Elk Mound Mounders vs. Arcadia Raiders

After both having extra time off, the Elk Mound Mounders and the Arcadia Raiders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Tuesday, Elk Mound made easy work of Neillsville and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mounders.

Arcadia not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Red Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Arcadia never let Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-22.

The win got Elk Mound back to even at 17-17. As for Arcadia, the victory also got them back to even at 17-17.
