Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Catholic Memorial walked away with it. They took down the King Philip Regional Warriors 39-21 on Thursday. The Knights are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Mekhi Dodd and Lasean Sharp. Dodd gained 169 total yards and three touchdowns while Sharp rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Sharp's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Kise Flannery, who threw for 135 yards and one touchdown on only 12 passes.

Catholic Memorial was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 309 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Catholic Memorial pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for King Philip Regional, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-1.
