After losing to Springfield the last time they met, Goodpasture Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Goodpasture Christian came out on top against Springfield by a score of 3-1 on Friday. Goodpasture Christian's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Reece Rector and Daniel Zubillaga scored all three of Goodpasture Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Goodpasture Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Springfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Goodpasture Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Brentwood Academy on the 18th. As for Springfield, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rossview at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. The contest will give Springfield their first taste of in-conference action this season.
