Basketball Game Preview: Postville Pirates vs. Nashua-Plainfield Huskies

The Postville Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Postville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Postville will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Turkey Valley, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Postville came out on top against Turkey Valley by a score of 60-52 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Nashua-Plainfield hadn't done well against West Fork recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Nashua-Plainfield walked away with a 71-61 victory over West Fork. The win was familiar territory for the Huskies who have now won four games in a row.

Nashua-Plainfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Postville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Postville came up short against Nashua-Plainfield when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 78-65. Can Postville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
