Football Recap: Hamilton Takes Down Bigfork in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Hamilton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries on Friday as they made off with a 46-20 win. The Broncs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Hamilton to victory were Cooper Weston and Jude Widmer. Weston rushed for 39 yards and two touchdowns, while Widmer rushed for 106 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries. The dominant performance also gave Widmer a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Kaeden Gum also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.

Hamilton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Widmer and Gum.

When it comes to explaining why Bigfork lost, don't look at Cavin Wiest. Despite the final result, he rushed for 38 yards and one score.

Hamilton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Bigfork, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Hamilton will face off against Billings Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 881 yards in their previous games. Bigfork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
