Baseball Recap: Iowa-Grant Comes Up Short

If Iowa-Grant was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of River Ridge on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwestern Wildcats on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Iowa-Grant's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Southwestern, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Iowa-Grant will welcome Riverdale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern, they will face off against East Dubuque at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
