Baseball Recap: Genoa-Kingston Comes Up Short

Genoa-Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dukes & Duchesses this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 last Monday.

Genoa-Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Dixon, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Genoa-Kingston will challenge rival North Boone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dixon is set to take on their familiar foe Rockford Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
