Basketball Recap: Altoona Takes a Loss

Altoona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 65-56 to the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountain Lions of the 59-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hollidaysburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Altoona will challenge Central Dauphin East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hollidaysburg, they will host Bald Eagle Area at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hollidaysburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Bald Eagle Area likes a good challenge.
