Basketball Recap: Morse Comes Up Short

Morse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Leavitt Hornets. The Shipbuilders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Morse's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Leavitt, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Morse has already played their next game (against Mount View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Leavitt is taking a road trip to challenge Winslow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winslow has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
