Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Calvary Christian won against Countryside last Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Everything went the Calvary Christian Warriors' way against the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles as the Calvary Christian Warriors made off with a 12-1 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Jacob Henderson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Jace Traina was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Mitch Jans was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Calvary Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive games.

Calvary Christian pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Indian Rocks Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Calvary Christian will head out to challenge Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Seminole 2.5, Calvary Christian 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will welcome Largo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Largo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
