Recap: First Baptist Christian Warriors vs. Northland Christian Cougars
The First Baptist Christian Warriors can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Northland Christian by a score of 51-42. The win was just what First Baptist Christian needed coming off of a 82-43 defeat in their prior game.
Northland Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andon "AJ" Newton, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and six steals. Newton hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Maddox Pallanez, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds.
First Baptist Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Northland Christian, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-16.
First Baptist Christian will take on Alpha Omega Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northland Christian, they will be playing at home against Rosehill Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
