Volleyball Recap: Vincennes Rivet Takes a Loss

Vincennes Rivet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loogootee Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Vincennes Rivet took Loogootee into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 12-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Vincennes Rivet's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Loogootee, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Vincennes Rivet has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Sullivan on the 18th. As for Loogootee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North Knox on the 18th.
