Ariton is 9-1 against Long since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ariton Purple Cats are taking a road trip to challenge the Long Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Long has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 58-43 fall against Abbeville on Tuesday.

Ariton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Long, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Everything came up roses for Ariton against Long in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 62-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ariton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
