Volleyball Recap: Pine Forest Comes Up Short

Pine Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Richmond Senior Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 9th.

Pine Forest was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Evon-Cat Murphy and Taylor Route, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Aria Parish and her 18 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Pine Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Richmond Senior, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Pine Forest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hoke County on the 30th. As for Richmond Senior, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Jack Britt on the 30th.
