Volleyball Game Preview: Centereach Cougars vs. Hauppauge Eagles + How To Watch

The Centereach Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Hauppauge Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Centereach's victory against Newfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars skirted past the Wolverines 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Centereach who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-28, 25-22, 23-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Hauppauge was able to grind out a solid win over Half Hollow Hills East on Monday, taking the game 3-1.

Hauppauge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-8, 25-9, 25-18.

Hauppauge's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Centereach, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
