Edcouch-Elsa is 8-2 against Pace since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will face off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Pace took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Edcouch-Elsa, who comes in off a win.

Edcouch-Elsa will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Rivera, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Yellowjackets narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Raiders 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since January 17, 2025.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Pace's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 60-20 defeat at the hands of Harlingen South.

Pace got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Rianna Venegas and Andrea Salgado, who each put up six points.

The win made it two in a row for Edcouch-Elsa and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for Pace, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

Edcouch-Elsa couldn't quite get it done against Pace when the teams last played back in December of 2025 as they fell 44-31. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
