Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Hill Christian Eagles. One positive for Covenant Christian, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

East Hill Christian was led to victory by Hudson Hooten and Austin Lockard. Hooten went 10 of 21 on his way to 25 points and three steals, while Lockard dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hooten has scored at least a third of East Hill Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zadian Murphy, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for East Hill Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.

Covenant Christian will venture away from home to challenge Wewahitchka at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Hill Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-45 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 9th.
