Baseball Recap: Miami Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Miami was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vinita Hornets. The Wardogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 11-6.

Ben Sherman was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

Miami dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Vinita, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Miami is set to face off against their familiar foe Catoosa at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Vinita will challenge rival Hilldale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
