Basketball Recap: Doyline Comes Up Short

Doyline and Hicks squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Doyline had to settle for second. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hicks Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Pirates are ranked 73rd).

Doyline has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-9 record this season. Hicks' win bumped their record up to 36-11.

Doyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hicks, they will take on Choudrant on Friday. One thing working in Choudrant's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches.
