Preview: Mountain House Mustangs vs. Inderkum Tigers
Mountain House is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Inderkum is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mountain House Mustangs will take on the Inderkum Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain House knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 games -- so hopefully Inderkum likes a good challenge.
Mountain House can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 87-58 win over Ceres. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-22.
Mountain House got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Assefa out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Coldin Parker, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Antelope scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, Inderkum still came out on top. Inderkum secured a 71-66 W over Antelope. Given Inderkum's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Antelope is ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mountain House is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Inderkum, their victory bumped their record up to 21-6.
